Job Summary

Responsible for shipping and receiving activities in the manufacturing plant including all appropriate paperwork including customs documents and operating material handling equipment.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Coordinates packing and shipping, determines appropriate methods of shipping and prepares

relevant paperwork (labels, shipping, commercial invoice, customs). Ensures accurate

customs procedures are followed for all out of country shipments.

Loads, unloads, order pulling, shipping, returns and verifying counts.

Unpacks and routes goods to appropriate inventory storage areas.

Inspects and verifies incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages,

reject damaged goods and updates the supervisor as needed.

Maintains accurate inventory of incoming, stored, staged and outgoing goods, as well as

current space availability.

Updates status of inbound and outbound orders in ERP system.

Performs accurate cycle counts.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Nature and Scope

Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.

Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.

Work Environment

Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors, such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.

Most of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking and/or there is some

the requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

No travel required.

Education and Experience

HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required.

Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience operating forklifts and reaches equipment, shrink wrapping and scales.

Prefer a Forklift license.

Prefer a Reach license
