Job Summary: Senior Accountant – reports to Controller

WhistlePig Whiskey is a growing company and our Finance team is growing along with it! We’re looking for a senior accounting whiz to join our team, working closely with teams of manufacturing operations, procurement, planning, and business divisions. This is a hands-on position requiring someone who is self-motivated, has well-developed skills in accounting, financial analysis, and production process improvements. We need an excellent collaborator and builder of relationships at all levels, who can thrive in a rapid change environment, working effectively within cross-functional teams. Supporting our operational teams to deliver strong results with a passion for operational excellence, this role will be a key contributor to the success and future growth of our team and organization. Our Finance team is a remote function of the business, with occasional in-person work & business travel required.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close responsibilities (journal entries, account reconciliations, reporting and analysis, etc.)
• Ensure timely, accurate month-end financial closing along with the publication and review of related results reports
• Plan, oversee, manage, and analyze results for the annual physical inventory count at Month/ Quarter/ Year-end
• Partner cross functionally with sales, FP&A, accounts receivable and credit & collections to ensure the order to cash processes are working effectively and efficiently
• Prepare all audit support schedules for consolidated inventory, respond to audit questions
• Prepare consolidated perpetual to G/L reconciliation monthly and investigate differences
• Oversee consolidated in-transit / off-site inventory
• Support the financial budgets and planning group in the development of the annual budget for manufacturing operations
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Understanding of S&OP and Demand Planning
• Experience with Bills of Material and manufacturing/operations
• Strong understanding of accounting processes and internal controls, with an ability to identify and address weaknesses in controls
• Attention to detail and an ability to understand complex business and financial matters
• Strong problem-solving skills including ability to break down problems into critical components and influence others to drive actionable solutions
• Able to communicate complex, technical information, and key findings, including providing subject matter expertise and recommendations
• Self-starter and comfortable working in a fast-growing and team-first environment
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 4+ years’ experience in CPG or Alcoholic Beverage Industry
• 2-3+ years of forecasting and experience in a consumer goods environment
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP system

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
