Special Education Teacher
Whispering Pines Preschool is accepting applications for the position of Special Education Teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. New York State Certification in Special Education (Student with Disabilities Birth to 2nd Grade) is required. Experience working in a preschool setting is preferred.

The ideal candidate will bring a passion for the mission of Whispering Pines Preschool, an understanding and respect for children and families from diverse groups, and experience working in pediatric settings. The Special Education teacher reports to the site supervisors and to the Executive Director. Job responsibilities include working individually and in groups with children in special education classrooms, conducting evaluations as part of a multidisciplinary team, writing comprehensive reports, presenting information at Committee on Preschool Special Education meetings, and completing observations in school or home settings. The ability to work with a team is essential. Qualified candidates must have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with families, staff, other professionals, and personnel from other agencies. Pay: $42,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
