We currently have an opportunity for a self-motivated individual with a professional accountancy qualification (including part qualified) to join the Wheatley Group finance team within Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership (DGHP).
Wheatley Group’s finance team are committed to providing excellent customer service to all our customers. The team is here to provide strategic financial support services to the Group to enable it to achieve its strategic priorities. Our Senior Finance Officer (DGHP) will provide an excellent service to our customers across all areas of finance support including but not limited to, decision support, management reporting, preparation of budgets and forecasts, and external statutory reporting. Our Senior Finance Officer (DGHP) will work closely with the Finance Manager, as well as the Finance Officers to ensure accurate and timely reporting of information and a smooth budgeting process.
The successful candidate should have experience of general ledger work within a large developing organisation along with a practical understanding of management accounting principles and techniques and statutory accounts preparation.
The successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate experience of managing a challenging workload in a busy environment. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential.
