WestRock Company of Canada is Looking for Summer Students – Production Relief Full Time

What does Westrock do?

We are a manufacturing facility that makes corrugated boxes. Nothing fancy, but everyone needs boxes and we are busy! We make boxes for some of the world’s largest suppliers and we need people who want a career in manufacturing to be part of our WestRock family.

Career Opportunity:

To manufacture WestRock boxes, we need Summer Relief Production Workers to work in the Production Department in our clean manufacturing facility to ensure quality cardboard boxes are produced for our customers.

Working as a team, you will ensure production targets are met and that all employees are working safely. Daily tasks included pushing, pulling, lifting, moving, stacking cardboard through various machines.

To be considered for this position, you will be required to work 12-hour continental shifts; Days 7 am – 7pm, Nights 7 pm – 7 am.

Requirements:

Students are required to provide vacation relief on our manufacturing floor from May to end of August.

Must be able to do manual labour repetitive tasks and lift up to 40lbs.

Must be able to feed corrugated stock into our machines or pack boxes.

Ability to work safely and diligently; safety, quality and attendance are key components of the job.

What you need to succeed:

Must be 18 years of age

Enrolled in post-secondary education

Able to work shift work
