How will I help?

At Westpac, our Customer Banking Services, the Everyday Banking Operations (EBO) business, the Reconciliations team works predominantly on reconciliation and investigative activities related to transactional accounts and Industry Clearing streams.

This position exists to assist in reconciliation and financial control of approx. 400 operational reconciliations under management. These reconciliations are to be undertaken in accordance with the Reconciliations and Wrap Policies.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely production of reconciliations.
• Understand our customer’s needs, deliver on promises, handle queries and complaints and offer the best solution.
• Accountable for correct value processing
• Work across integrated team across both Westpac and St George brands
• Adhere to Group Operations policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, risk and compliance and legal obligations.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities, enhancing productivity objectives and reduce rework and processing errors.

What do I need?

• Highly computer literate, proficient with MS Excel.
• Strong reconciliations and/or sounds working knowledge of internal systems and processes such as, but not limited to VisionPlus, Infolease, Oracle, etc.
• Strong operational Banking knowledge
• Knowledge and application of compliance and legislative requirements.
• Strong stakeholder skills, ability to build key relationships with business partners.
