Westpac Group Hiring for Manager, Finance, Group Performance & Insights Job at Sydney Full Time

How will I help?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Finance to join our Group Performance Management team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role will be responsible for delivering Group Performance insights through reporting and analysis across our financials. You will be working in a high performing, supportive team and you will play a key role in supporting the continuous improvement, transformation and digitisation of our processes and capabilities.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with Finance Transformation Strategy and other partners to deliver the right outcomes for GPM and Finance more broadly.
• Work with Group Performance Insights (GPI) and GPM Business Intelligence specialists to automate and simplify reporting and forecasting processes.
• Execute reporting and analytics processes to provide insights for Board, ET and other management decision making for:
  • revenue outcomes across net interest margin, balance sheet and capital forecasting
  • the Group’s expense base and progress towards the FY24 $8bn cost target
  • 3-year strategy, target setting and scorecards processes
  • Peer and competitor views
• Contribute to the Group’s corporate / statutory (Australian & offshore) reporting / disclosure in accordance with applicable legal, tax, accounting and regulatory requirements.
• Execute and coordinate group controls over performance outcomes across relevant systems and processes.
• Partner with broader GPM teams to ensure appropriate outcomes for Finance.
• Partner with the Divisional, Functional and Line of Business (LOB) teams to deliver to the required business performance outcomes.
• Support leadership and development of people within and across GPI, GPM and broader Finance.

What do I need?

• Banking or financial services experience desirable.
• Working towards or Chartered / CPA qualification desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications & Business Intelligence tools.
• Ability to synthesise complex and large volumes of data into simple commercial messages and insights.
• Experience with financial modelling, process and or report design.
• Leverages technical skills, soft skills and commercial acumen to problem-solve and link to the financials.
• Ability to respond and operate through on-going change.
