How will I help?

As an Associate within Finance Companies you will be responsible for supporting the coverage bankers drive strategic engagement and pro-active, advice-led business origination with Westpac’s key institutional clients. Finance Companies’ objective is to achieve high levels of year-on-year growth and optimal return on equity, by developing, managing and deepening the relationship with a portfolio of private and publicly listed clients. The role is based in Sydney and will report to the Head of Finance Companies.

You will also be responsible for:

• Written industry strategies including related research and analysis
• Coordinating the professional delivery of tailored financial and transactional solutions for customers
• Coordinating communication to customers such as responses to Requests for Proposals and delivery of Expressions of Interest
• Supporting the development of customer relationships
• Providing support to our coverage bankers, you’ll be a core member of deal teams marketing and implementing a wide range of institutional banking products and services

What do I need?

To be successful in the role, you will need to work well in a team environment, coordinating Analysts, Credit, Legal, Transactional Services, Debt Markets, Financial Markets and Compliance.

Some further advantageous skills:

• Confident and competent individual who has demonstrated success in a fast paced, team-based environment
• High commercial acumen and ability to apply corporate financing knowledge
• Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
• Project management skills and credit experience is desirable
• Highly numerate with the ability to navigate complex systems
• Degree qualified – Business/Finance/Accounting/Economics ideal
