Weston Foods Hiring for Shipping Lead Hand- $24/Hour at Langley, BC Full Time

Wage: $24.00 / hour plus $2.00 Night Shift premium (Applicable from 9 pm -6 am)

Shift: Afternoon shift (flexibility with working overtime, and on weekends, as necessary)

Location: 5345 275 St, Aldergrove, BC

Important Note-This location is not accessible by public transit and currently there is no ride-share facility available.

In a typical day, you’ll:
Assist Shipping Supervisor in the day-to-day operation of the department.

Participation in decision-making processes involving warehouse/shipping issues such as labour planning and warehouse/shipping priorities

Organize production floor, freezer & aisles (maintain required number of trays for packaging & finished products)

Inspect and receive all deliveries, ensuring all paperwork is correct and perform inventory counts

Working with Production/Packaging department to ensure Shipping Schedule is being followed, and work orders are completed in a timely manner

Complete all paperwork including receiving logs and conduct food safety checks on trailer

Work closely with all production team members to ensure product quality

Responsible for team to achieve everyday targets

About You:
A lover of bread and baked goods!

You have strong people skills—you’re approachable, a good listener, and empathetic

You have previously worked in a manufacturing environment (even better if it was food manufacturing!)

Experience required of 1-2 years as a Team Lead or Lead hand.

You’re dedicated to the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues

People leader, Confident and Problem-solver

Have solid mathematical and computer skills

You are someone who listens to comprehend a situation first, asking questions to clarify your own understanding, instead of listening to be able to reply quickly

Must have reliable transportation as there is no ride-share or public transit
