About the role:
The Clinical Midwifery Educator provides clinical leadership, education and support through the facilitation of clinical knowledge and skill development of nurses and midwives to promote learning and competence in the clinical setting. This position will work across the Level 3 Maternity Services in WNSWLHD – including Mudgee, Cowra, Parkes and Forbes.
This is a targeted position in accordance with GSE Rule 26: Employment of eligible persons. The Integrated Care Directorate provides a range of strategic, operational and clinical support services. Some of the clinical programs include Aged Care, Maternal, Child and Family Health, Dental Health, Women’s Health, HIV, Aids and Related services. These are provided locally, across the LHD, some cross border and State-wide services. These services and programs are closely governed through State or Commonwealth reporting for contracted activities, workforce, patient experience and values based systems of care. Partnerships with other health and social care agencies are foundational to meeting the needs of our vulnerable populations.
