About the role:

This role provides administration and clerical support within a range of settings as part of the administration team, providing a specific focus on admissions. This role supports the timely delivery of quality services within clinical and other units within the Health Service.

This is a targeted position in accordance with GSE Rule 26: Employment of eligible persons. Parkes hospital is part of the Lachlan Health Service (which also includes nearby Forbes hospital) and is a major district health service and procedural hospital built in 2015 making it a world-class, contemporary facility that is a highly sought after to work in.

With 28 inpatient beds, Parkes hospital provides acute and sub-acute, medical, surgical, rehabilitation and palliative care services for the region. The new hospital boasts two birthing rooms (see video tour here), three maternity beds, two operating theatres, chemotherapy, medical imaging and co-located community and primary health services which includes outreach to the surrounding towns and region.
