What You’ll Do: With the overarching objective of Defining a Higher Standard in Supply Chain, the Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for assessing systems and processes to improve inventory turns, order fulfillment efficiencies, and reduce costs. Further, the analyst will be responsible to help manage the Japan segment to ensure mill production schedules and sales are aligned with company objectives. Working closely with the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Analyst will ensure continuous improvement to fulfillment and delivery systems, using data uncovered to support recommendations for optimizing the Supply Chain.
Who You Are: Our ideal candidate has a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Logistics/Supply Chain, Wood Products processing, or related field. As well as experience in production coordination, quality control, logistics, shipping, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment: We are currently working in a hybrid work environment. Expectations for the time being are that this role will be a mix of working from home and work from office with proper safety plans in place.
RESPONSIBILITIES
With a focus on streamlining operations and reporting, ensuring on-time deliveries to customers, key responsibilities of this position include:
Analyzing data and methods to identify areas to improve all aspects of the supply chain department, including fulfillment, delivery, inventory, processing, and financial
Communicate with other departments within the organization to identify efficiency issues, develop solutions, and implement changes
Design and implement methods to gather and manage supply chain data
Investigate pain points within the process and develop solutions to resolve conflicts and inefficiencies
Create performance reports for management review
Manage the Japan production and sales to forecast cycles and delivery to reload or customers that on time customer delivery targets are achieved.
Work with internal stakeholders to ensure inventory targets and supply chain execution is achieved.
Daily reports as required
Perform other duties, projects, and assignments as needed
Travel as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Logistics/Supply Chain, Wood Products Processing, or related field
Experience in production coordination, quality control, logistics, shipping, or similar role in a manufacturing environment
Skills, Knowledge and Required Competencies
Intermediate experience with MS Office
Exceptional time management skills, and the ability to excel under the pressure of deadlines
Problem solving & Critical thinking skills
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, and react to changing conditions
