Job Overview

After the “Trainee” period the accounting manager will manage the general ledger closing process for all companies. In addition, the accounting manager will provide direction and have responsibility for accounts payable, compliance, billing, and driver pay processes. The accounting manager will work closely with the corporate controller on a variety of financial improvement projects.

Supervisory scope

• Direct Reports: 6 Managers
• Indirect Reports: 27 support staff members

Responsibilities and Duties

· Responsible for ensuring all accounting processes managed are closed timely for financial statement preparation

· Collaborate with the corporate controller on process improvement goal setting and achievements

· Provide direction and leadership to the individuals managing processes in the accounting department

· Preform financial analysis of various operating elements of the company as directed by the Corporate Controller

Qualifications

• Education: Accounting or Finance background preferred but not required
• Experience: 2+ years of employment with Western Dairy Transport or WD Logistics

Specific Skills:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Leadership skills in working with various groups, setting aligned goals

Pay range dependent upon experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $54,000.00 per year
