Financial Corporate Accountant

What is the role?

This is a commercial finance role, with the opportunity to influence the business and make an impact on processes that will improve efficiency and maximise profit. Developing relationships with internal stakeholders is key, you will be a good communicator, able to manage stakeholders from all levels of the business.

This would suit an analytical finance professional, with a clear communication approach who is committed to their professional development and progression within finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing the accounts for the holding company and the groups French entity; this will include, posting accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations preparing month end accounts.
• Confirming intercompany balances monthly across the group.
• Assisting with the monthly consolidation for the Group
• Prepare, post the quarterly corporation tax payments, review and ensure the tax computations are completed on a timeline basis, assist with deadlines for notes for stat accounts and ensure the group computations are filed on time.
• Ensure the Group is compliant and policies up to date with all other areas of tax (except VAT, as we have a VAT Officer)
• Assist with the annual audit by providing timely and accurate information.
• Compliance – Ensure various Governmental returns are completed and submitted on time, eg Country by country reporting, Gender pay publication, Payment practices reporting, Senior Accounting Manager Report, PSA.
• Annual review and publication of the Groups tax strategy.
• Prepare the Ixbrl files annually
• Ad hoc tasks as directed by management.

Is this the role for you?

To be successful in this role you be ACCA/CIMA qualified or nearing the end of the exams level or be QBE. Experience working in an accounting environment would be desirable in and you will have some of the following skills and experience and the desire to develop in other areas:

Key Skills

• Very good knowledge and understanding of excel and word
• Available to travel if required to other UK and European Offices (adhoc)
• Keep up to date with tax changes, in the UK and Europe
• Able to discuss matters with people from the bottom to top management and external
• Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
• Able to work within tight deadline
• Excellent attention to detail
