What You Will Do With Us
As a Lighting Specialist based in our Mississauga Head Office, you will be responsible for the support and growth of the Ontario Lighting sales for Westburne. You will coordinate projects between vendors and customers to ensure accuracy and timely delivery to the customer and product technical support for end-users. In addition, you will provide system support and technical expertise in the area of lighting for the Account Managers. The Lighting Specialist may be working with head offices, designers, and project managers providing pricing, specifications, and project information.
How You Will Thrive With Us
You will provide sales support & project management for lighting accounts and outside lighting specialists.
You will do site visits to gather information necessary for energy audits. You will also enter this data into our database.
You will assume some daily account management duties for lighting as well as the day-to-day point of contact for customers’ head office and building sites as needed.
You may work with customers on their lighting drawings to provide lighting counts and confirm the accuracy of specifications. You will also create specifications for design-build opportunities.
You will assess project requirements, provide quotations, advise customers of availability, delivery, and current status and search for and offer alternate products when necessary to meet the necessary deadlines.
You will assist with energy rebate applications, manufacturer warranty registration, coordination of commissioning and other after-sales support.
You will work with the leadership team on inventory, marketing and sales initiatives.
You will help provide training to account managers and branch managers.
Other duties as assigned by the Divisional Lighting Manager.
Who Are You
IES Fundamentals of Lighting course completion is preferred. Strong lighting background is critical in this role
You have the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and product specifications (an asset).
You have competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
You have strong computer skills.
You have experience using CRM software (Salesforce).
You have attention to detail, a professional attitude and a sense of urgency.
You have the willingness and ability to receive additional lighting training and other professional training as available.
