WestAir Gases & Equipment, Inc Hiring for Accounts Receivable Specialist Job at San Diego, CA Full Time

Position Overview

The Receivables Specialist is responsible for securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts, resolving discrepancies, creating adjustments, and billing customers where required. Will maintain contact with staff, branch stores, account managers, and customers and observes the confidentiality of customer and company matters.

Essential Functions

· Process and post daily lockbox, wires, EFT/ACH, and credit card payments.

· Analyze customer account at the time of application for any skipped, partial payments or errors. Contact customer to resolve remittance discrepancies

· Manage the monthly credit card program by ensuring customer credit card information is current and updated as needed.

· Communicate with Bank to resolve any returned check issues.

· Create and process credits and adjustments.

· Answer calls from internal and external customers and provides customers with requested information such as invoice copies, statements, or other sources of information.

· Track charge and cash reports daily and resolve discrepancies with branch managers before import to document storage.

· Process and monitor government and specialty billing.

· Write-off accounts and submit to a collection agency when all internal collection efforts have been exhausted.

· Assist with month-end close as required

· Support lead and management with special projects as time or capabilities allow.

Qualifications

· 2+ years working knowledge of A/R policies and practices and collections

· Previous expertise in the industrial gas industry preferred

· A demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level

· Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, multi-task, and manage time.

· Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word experience

· Excellent listening and interpersonal communication skills to identify critical core competencies based on success factors and organizational environment.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

The employee, while performing the duties of this job, is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone, keyboard reach, stoop and kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. Light to moderate lifting is required.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday; hours vary of coverage during the business hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm

Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour
