The accounting clerk performs moderately complex bookkeeping and clerical work in accounting and fiscal record keeping, under the general supervision of the Director of Accounting, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Work involves assisting in planning, organizing, and performing accounts payable activities. Maintains files and reports, and assembles and organizes information for supervisor. Work may involve specializing in one or more aspects of the accounts payable/purchasing activities, (i.e., vehicle files, mileage logs, verifying/reconciling lab and fuel statements). Responsible for reconciling and maintaining all petty cash accounts for the Center. This position is based in Howard County.

  • Basic background in accounting environment.
  • Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and a driving record that is acceptable for insurability through the Centers insurance carrier.
  • Must pass background check and drug screening
