Finance Assistant – College Fund

Salary: £18,417 – £20,550
West Suffolk College are looking to appoint an organised, customer-oriented Finance Assistant to join us, to provide supervision of College Fund accounts. This varied role will include bursary administration, assisting in maintaining and reconciling the Fixed Asset register, processing BACS and online bank payments, assisting with the preparation of month end accounts, and supporting the Management Accountant.
With strong mathematical and communication skills, the successful candidate will ideally have an NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Business and/or Finance, or the equivalent experience, sound knowledge of general accounting procedures and strong accuracy and attention to detail. A pure finance background is not essential for this position; applications are welcomed from candidates with banking / strong administrative experience.
