Our Finance team are looking for an Accounting Technician to join them on a permanent basis.
This role will assist in the delivery of day to day finance and accounting activities across the West Midlands Combined Authority.
What will you be doing?

• Provide high quality accounting services for standard budgets within the Accountancy function
• Provide high quality financial administration services within the Accountancy function
• Support budget holders in managing their financial resources
• Provide efficient month-end accounting activities
• Assist in effective forecasting activities at regular intervals
• Assist in developing robust annual budget proposals

About you
You will need to have current knowledge and understanding of financial management issues and have at least AAT level 4 or equivalent.
Our ideal candidate will have

• Experience of financial planning and management of financial resources
• Experience of providing financial advice and support to budget holders
• The ability to work collaboratively across the finance function
• Experience of supporting multi-disciplinary teams to achieve service outcomes

Our Finance & Business Hub provides essential high-quality, responsive, and agile enabling services to the West Midlands Combined Authority and its directorates in areas such as human resources, procurement, commercial investments, assurance and appraisal, financial control and administration, and financial and business planning and performance reporting.
