We have an exciting full time opportunity for a HR Assistant to join our busy team.

About the role:

Working closely with the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Assistant has responsibility for a broad range of HR administrative and operational support. Key duties include:

• Serve as the first point of contact for all HR related enquiries and questions (email, phone and in person)
• Providing recruitment support including advertising positions, updating job boards, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, sending out employment documents, facilitating on-boarding sessions and creating employment files
• Setting up new hires in our HRIS System (Chris21) and updating as required
• Coordinate the employee on boarding and off boarding process
• Assist with staff engagement events and rewards and recognition initiatives
• Assist the wider team as required
• Other ad-hoc duties

About you:

This role suits someone who is passionate about HR and is looking to develop and grow their career. You will be hands on, proactive and have the ability to work on multiple tasks at once. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, take pride in their work and will be a true brand ambassador for West HQ.

What you will need to be considered:

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (preferred)
• Previous experience in a HR Assistant position (or similar)
• Experience with candidate management/recruitment systems (will be an advantage)
• Ability to build trusting relationships and maintain confidentiality
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated time management and strong organisational skills
• Ability to problem solve and work autonomously
• Willingness to take on additional tasks when required
• Experience using HRIS is highly desirable
• Intermediate to advanced Mircosoft Office Skills
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia
