Full Job Description
West End Dermatology Associates is looking for a Medical Scribe to join our team. This is a part-time position that requires at least 3 days per week.(Monday, Tuesday & Thursday).
Duties:
- Review medical records for patients and their families
- Collect demographic and clinical information such as medical history, physical examination, and laboratory data
- Prepare charts for review by a physician
- Perform clinical observations, diagnosis, and treatment plan in a timely manner according to EMR standards
- Review EMR charts for accuracy
- Prepare charts for electronic medical records system (EMRscan)
- Communicate with patients and their family members regarding their health status, upcoming appointments, and any recommended follow-up care
- Maintain accurate patient records by completing daily charting tasks as required in the medical record Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director or Manager
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Experience:
- Medical record collector experience is a plus.
- Medical record keeper experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of EMR systems. (EMRscan) preferred but not required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
