NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER – EDUCATION SECTOR

HOME BASED with regular visits to one of our sites in Folkestone, Verwood and Plymouth

£35,000–£40,000 + BONUS + CAR

The Role:

This role is responsible for delivering continued sales growth from a portfolio of established and strategically important Customers within the Education Channel. This will include the management of the Groups full product portfolio within these Customers and will involve detailed work in the accurate and full completion of Tenders for supply.

With responsibility for gaining long term strategic partnerships within this distribution channel the successful candidate will be tasked with delivering profitable sales growth for the group’s Art & Craft and Stationery ranges maximising Sales and Distribution of the strategically important brands and Customer specific manufactured ranges.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong sales professional, with a proven background in business development, to flourish within a highly successful and diverse business. Successful performance in the role will be rewarded accordingly under the West Design bonus scheme.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the applicant will be required and encouraged to use their initiative, working with minimal supervision to maximise revenue streams across their area of responsibility by exploiting new opportunities and further developing existing

Customer relationships.

Growing Companies in Kent) manufacturer, importer, distributor and wholesaler of toys, art and craft, education and stationery products.

We are the sole UK distributor of Faber-Castell Art & Graphic ranges, Copic, Marabu Craft

Colours and Speedball as well as sole UK and European distributor of Faber-Castell Creativity for Kids kits.

Employing more than 100 people across three premises – HQ and Warehouse in Folkestone,

Kent, Creative Hub in Verwood, Dorset and Manufacturing division in Plymouth, Devon.

Responsibilities:

• Manage existing accounts and develop strong strategic partnerships
• Preparing detailed channel reviews to highlight range gaps and new business development opportunities
• Develop new business opportunities and secure new customers
• Identify appropriate Tender opportunities and management of the complete Tender process
• Manage the product forecasting process for your account portfolio to ensure a strong OTIF performance
• Responsibility for the ongoing negotiation and implementation of product pricing updates
• Management of Customer order progress requests to supply Customers with accurate information on order availability

Requirements:

To be considered for this role you must be a hardworking and personable self-starter, with strong experience supplying the education sector with a background in developing business using the tender process. Determined and resilient, capable of overcoming obstacles to drive growth.

Other attributes to include:

• Ideally from a similar sector such as Arts & Crafts and Stationery
• Experience of working with in the development of bespoke and private label ranges would be a distinct advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 22-37.5 per week

Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
