West Arnhem Regional Council Hiring for Finance Support Officer Job at Darwin Full Time

This position reports to the Finance Manager – Jabiru and will assist with the performance of a range of financial processes, including (but not limited to) bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and receivable, processing of invoices, and end of month ledger reconciliations, and journals.

The successful person will provide effective communications that fosters positive relationships at all levels across the community, external stakeholders, and West Arnhem Regional Council personnel.

Requirement for this position include:

Minimum of Certificate III in financial services, and or previous experience in an accounting or finance related field.

Sound knowledge in the use of a range of information technology and MS office applications especially Excel.

Organised approach to work, and demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

Proven experience in computerised finance systems and a strong desire to work and learn new finance and accounting skills.

Strong numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong interpersonal skills including a high level of written and oral communication.
