Wesley College St Kilda Road campus is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Classroom Music Teacher for a full time and ongoing position. This position is commencing in Semester 1, 2023. The successful candidate may have an opportunity for a leadership position as part of this position.
The successful applicant will be a capable and passionate classroom music educator who has experience in teaching middle and senior school classroom music, including VCE and/or IBDP. A proven ability to lead small or large ensembles including and not limited to big band, concert band, choir, orchestra, and/or musical theatre productions.
The applicant will have the capability to teach across a variety of traditional and/or contemporary instruments in individual and group settings (voice and string preferred but not essential). VIT registration is essential. Piano accompaniment skills are desirable.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively in a large team and contribute to a positive work culture. They are abreast of 21st century music pedagogy and continually seek to improve their teaching practice.
