Wesco Hiring for Engineer – Automation at United States Full Time

As a Engineer-Automation you will be a technical lead for automation solutions, including digital, in Wesco’s network. Helping to integrate and deploy commercially available fulfillment systems, designed to interact with automation to enhance material movement and handling within Operations.

Responsibilities:

• Work with cross-functional teams to execute automation product designs from concept to production including specification, design, validation, testing and launch.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to define, implement, and create guidelines for automation to enhance warehouse operation processes.
• Educate members of technology deployment and warehouse operations on automation system architecture, usability, and functionality.
• Perform engineering analysis on automation projects.
• Design holistic hardware and software solutions for problem solving with fluid requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree – Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Robotics Engineering or similar
• 2+ years of proven experience in similar position and exposure
• CAD experience and understanding of best practices
• Proficiency with eCAD tools preferred
• Hands on experience crafting proof-of-concept models and prototypes
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well with teams
• Ability to effectively communicate concepts and write technical documents
• Experience evaluating designs, performance, and logistical tradeoffs for hardware systems
• Ability to travel 0-25% of the time
