Utilizes data from, Sales and customers, to create, monitor and execute a finite daily and weekly production plan for manufacturing

Co-ordinates the receiving and shipping of castings, monitoring customer requirements and WIP to ensure delivery schedules are met

Provides guidance to the manufacturing leadership team for finite daily scheduling and attainments within the planning horizon

Monitors attainments and initiates required changes to production schedule and communicates with manufacturing leadership to meet attainment

Maximizes customer satisfaction and smooth level loaded production plans over a finite-planning horizon while satisfying corporate inventory and planning strategies

Provides input to mid / long term planning parameters and “what if” scenarios, recognizing such factors as capacities, resources, product mix and other strategic considerations

Monitors variations in releases for both independent and dependent demands and adjust schedules over planning horizon.

Analyze current plant capacities vs. total demands and makes recommendations for additional resources to achieve total capacity.

Prepares justification for overtime or reduced schedules as required to meet customer demands and optimum operating schedules

Monitors and manages the internal and external container supply to satisfy the build schedule and inventory targets

Prepares inventory targets in concert with production plans. Monitors progress and prepares CI plans in conjunction with the Operations Leader

Implements and monitors Inventory Management Systems, Kanban / Pull Systems

Monitors new launch standards and production run at rates to ensure orders are filled and successful ramp-up targets are complete

Co-ordinates the delivery of dunnage, scrap returns and raw materials. Liaise with vendors to ensure the availability, delivery and quality of goods and services ordered

Collates production data such as machine efficiencies, schedule attainment, scrap and labour, summarizing and preparing reports

Communication and Teamwork:

Liaises with Operations Leader communicating customer information, plant targets, operating assumptions, schedules and continuous improvement plans

Implementing and executing Planning policies and systems

Plans the materials requirements for new product launches concurrently with Engineering, Sales and Manufacturing

Other:

Supports and participates in the Continuous Improvement Process.

Complies with company policies and procedures.

Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· CPIM designation or equivalent combination of education and experience

· 3 years of experience in production planning

· Demonstrated scheduling/planning skills

· Proven ability to analyze sales forecasts and synthesize diverse information

· Demonstrated ability to make decisions and work with minimum supervision in a team-based environment

· Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner

· Demonstrated proficiency with computer programs such as MS Office

Contract length: 13 months

Salary: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
