Wentworth by the Sea Country Club- seeking a Club Accountant/Controller to join our team. The Club Accountant/Controller reports to the General Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

• Supervise Accounting Assistant/Office Manager who prepares Payroll, A/P & Cash Application

• Maintain General Ledger & Month End Account Reconciliations

• Prepare monthly financial statements

• Monthly Statement Billing for 700+ member accounts

• Process daily POS updates & event close outs

• Review & approve weekly cash disbursements

• Review & approve bi-weekly payroll file

• Remit monthly NH Room & Meals Tax Returns

• Maintain/supervise record-keeping including off-site storage
• Prepare Annual Budget & Strategic Plans with Department Managers
• HR & Benefits administration in coordination with the General Manager
• Manage any insurance issues with the General Manager
• Work with outside auditors for annual accounting review
• Communicate and coordinate with our off-site corporate CFO and Corporate Officers
• Field & resolve member billing inquiries
• We are looking for someone who has head accountant experience, not an assistant looking to move up.
• Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Head Accountant experience

• Prior Private Club or Hospitality experience preferred

• Highly proficient in Excel

• Prior experience with JONAS software a plus

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
