Responsibilities

The Senior Accounting Analyst supports the Director of Accounting in carrying out the responsibilities of
the Accounting Department and the overall goals of WellStar Health System. The Senior Accounting
Analyst will provide management with useful and accurate financial information on a timely basis. The
position must have a good understanding of A/R posting and G/L theory. Routine responsibilities include
but are not limited to: Preparing and recording journal entries and account reconciliations, verifying and
posting details of business transactions, performing system balancing, preparing audit schedules, cash
and bank reconciliations, investigating problems and issues as they arise, and other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma
Required Minimum Experience: Minimum of five years in finance or accounting, preferably in healthcare with a high
school diploma or minimum of two years in finance or accounting, preferably in healthcare with a Bachelor’s Degree.
Required Minimum Skills: Above average technical and computer skills. Must be able to communicate well with
employees at all levels and across disciplines. Must be able to handle multiple duties simultaneously with attention to
detail. Must be very organized, flexible and adaptable. Proficiency with Excel.
