Full Job Description

The Staff Software Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership, insights, and motivation to a small team of developers. While working towards delivering reliable, efficient, high-quality software and hardware solutions, a Staff Software Engineer writes impeccable solutions and delivering features, enhancements, bug fixes and other deliverables on time.

A day in the life!
You will be responsible for the following:
  • Analyzing system requirements or specifications, translating them into actionable work units for the team to conceptualize, and developing high quality software using the established coding standards and development best practices.
  • Collaborating with application development teams for onboarding applications to WellSky Identity platform (backed by Okta CIAM)
  • Working with internal and external teams to extend the use of WellSky Identity platform via direct Active Directory integration, SAML, OpenID Connect or other mechanisms.
  • Providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and monitoring of IAM systems. Documenting standard operating procedures
  • Developing RESTful APIs and Terraform share modules to be used across all business units in WellSky
  • Mentoring, teaching, guiding, and improving the productivity of other Software Engineers
  • Conducting system analysis and proof of concepts, with limited architect and/or leadership involvement, to determine best design or solution.
  • Leading and/or creating architecture and/or designing as needed to meet the requirements, integrating disparate systems, or managing changing technologies.
  • Enforcing the development of unit tests, automated tests and performance tests as needed to ensure quality, supporting general debugging and isolating areas for improvement. Capturing and analyzing performance test metrics and providing operational documentation
  • Reviewing appropriate documentation such as implementation manuals, support manuals/playbooks, performance testing guidelines, etc. as needed to run/support the software.

Do you have what it takes?

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 8 years of C# development or relevant work experience including RESTful web services
  • 1+ year of experience working with Okta platform or an equivalent identity platform.
  • Terraform experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Okta certifications: Okta Administrator or Developer
  • Experience of working in Agile based projects
  • Proficient in debugging applications and performance tuning
  • GCP experience
  • Experience building infrastructure as code
  • Git and Azure CI/CD DevOps experience
  • Good experience in Unit testing
  • Good knowledge of SQL/PL-SQL
Bonus Points!
  • Good knowledge of Angular, Material Design
  • Experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes
