Wells Fargo Hiring for Finance Director (SVP) -Finance Transformation Office Job at Charlotte, NC Full Time

The Finance Transformation Office (FTO) is focused on Finance Organization-wide technology & tool strategy, as well as prioritizing and executing on key modernization initiatives including automation, agile transformation, culture, and analytics. The FTO leads the Strategic Analytics Product, designed to modernize, rationalize and accelerate the development of Reporting, Forecasting and Analytics capabilities across Finance.

As a member of the FTO, this leader will help drive our transformation agenda, initiate and lead complex initiatives, and support our Strategic Analytics Product vision, working with key stakeholders across Finance to lay out multi-year roadmap, analyze critical strategic decisions, prioritize and refine backlogs, and build stakeholder support and alignment.

In this position, you will:

• Shape the strategy, organization and operating model of the Finance Transformation Office, workstreams, roadmap
• Identify finance transformation driving forces, such as macro trends, regulatory environment, technology advances and internal challenges
• Set ambition for Finance technology vision and strategy with our Technology partners
• Clearly define problem statements and structure solutions to meet multiple stakeholder needs
• Evaluate and prioritize solutions, identify interdependencies and develop strategic implementation roadmaps with a supporting business case to secure funding
• Develop critical success factors and metrics for transformation initiatives to communicate progress to senior executive-level leaders
• Set and track to deliverable dates, manage or serve as an escalation point for issues and risks, and ensure program is financially tracking within acceptable tolerance
• Support evaluation of build vs buy opportunities based on financials, risk, implementation timeframe, key stakeholder input and business need
• Consult with Technology and our FTO partner across Controllers, Treasury, Investment Portfolio, Functional and Business Finance teams to design and deliver practical and timely solutions
• Serve as a Wells Fargo culture carrier – prioritizing diversity, recognition and team member growth

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of Finance experience or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 4+ years of Management experience

Desired Qualifications:

• Prior experience with Enterprise-wide / large-scale LOB / Analytic Process transformation initiatives related to financial projections and model-driven forecasting
• Experience defining target operating models, including team structure, and assignment of delivery strategy
• Ability to successfully develop innovative solutions and drive transformational change; strong analytical and critical thinking skills combined with strategic business focus.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills; extremely strong demonstrated leadership skills in significant transformational change initiatives.
• Highly collaborative with proven ability to effectively lead complex and diverse teams, and exceptional track record of delivering results.
• Understanding of modeling within the context of financial forecasting, ALM, and other analytical processes
• Working knowledge of best practices for forecasting various LOB metrics and generating a comprehensive bank level view.
• Ability to clearly define the target state and incremental deliverables, as well as the cost / benefit profiles of atomic units of work.
• Demonstrable knowledge of cashflow modeling and how it relates to ALM, forecasting, valuation, and stress testing.
• An energetic, efficient, and resourceful team player. Takes ownership of work product and delivers within tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with existing Bank regulation and emerging supervisory expectations impacting Finance processes (e.g. sustainability / climate)
• Familiarity with Bank planning processes such as FP&A, Strategic Planning, CCAR / Stress Testing, and Recovery & Resolution Planning
• Familiarity with Finance functions such as Controllers, Treasury, Investment Portfolio, Corporate Finance and LOB Finance
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with extensive experience presenting to and working with senior executive-level leaders
• A demonstrated working understanding of technology and key role it plays within an Agile based organization
