Job Brief

We are looking for a junior developer to join our established software development team, working with them to develop and maintain high quality applications. If you’re passionate about writing understandable, well commented code, we would like to meet you. As a junior developer, you’ll collaborate with internal teams to develop functional applications, while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
As a junior developer, you will be an integral part of providing maintenance and enhancements to our Kiosk products. You will, with the guidance of senior team members be responsible for the technical and graphical aspects of our Kiosk products.

• Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support)
• Produce fully functional applications writing clean code
• Gather specific requirements and suggest solutions
• Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
• Troubleshoot and debug to optimise performance
• Design interfaces to improve user experience
• Liaise with the Product development team to plan new features
• Research and suggest new products, applications and protocols
• Stay up-to-date with new technology trends
• Provide support for other departments relating to the Kiosk products

Requirements

• Education to degree level in a software development or Computer Science related subject.
• C# .Net (4.X, Core)
• Some experience in SQL, preferably MS SQL Server
• Object oriented principles
• Knowledge of Testing, including unit testing, TDD
• Good timekeeping, teamwork and enthusiasm for development and learning

Welcomed but are not required

• Knowledge of WPF and XAML
• Asp.net MVC 4, Asp.net Core
• Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Git source control
• UI/UX knowledge

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
