We are looking for a dynamic professional with at least 5 years experience working children and adults with developmental delays.

The person in this position is responsible for creating a flexible program and learning environment that provides specialized instruction to stimulate the acquisition of skills in children and adults with neurodevelopmental conditions, such as: Autism, ADHD, Speech Delay, among others. The professional will bring their educational/ professional background to the clinical scenario.

The candidate must enjoy teaching and sharing knowledge with colleagues. The ideal candidate should be interested in learning avant-garde techniques and treatment methodologies. In addition, this person will be trained to be able to provide training for new employees, help in administrative duties; as well as, creating personnel schedules and to monitor therapies to assure that the clinic standard is maintained.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with patient parents (or patient if adult) to discuss the patient’s priorities and their individualized educational needs.
• Confer with other health providers, social workers, and other professionals to develop individualized programs designed to promote students’ educational, physical, and social/emotional development.
• Develop treatment plan for patients
• Maintain accurate and complete progress records and prepare reports on patients and activities.
• Perform Proprietary Primitive Reflex test, Developmental Screening test and, Listening Test (training will be provided)

• Administrative duties may include: help create therapy calendars for the other therapeutic team of professionals in the clinic.

• Continuously evaluate patients results by observing, noting, and evaluating patient’s progress; recommending and implementing adjustments and modifications as needed.
• Be open to share knowledge with the rest of the team in Puerto Rico and Houston and contribute to ensure progress on all patients is obtained.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Master Degree in Special Education, Autism, etc
• 5+ years of experience

• Bilingual, written and spoken (required)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMR systems
• Others: Health Promotion and Maintenance, Creating a Safe, Effective Environment, Legal Compliance, Bedside Manner, Medical Teamwork, Mental Health, Listening, Analyzing Information, Quality Focus, Dynamic and pleasant personality

• State license required. License/Certification: Special Education Certification (Preferred)

Pay: $22,730.00 – $48,191.00 per year
