Wellington Professional Recruitment Looking for Site Supervisor – Rail at Belfast, County Antrim Full Time

As Site Supervisor you will be joining a global multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy. They provide engineering consultancy services on a range of infrastructure projects; particularly in the water, highways, energy and rail sectors. Due to recent contract awards and the growth of their rail team they are seeking to appoint a Site Supervisor for Rail projects throughout Northern Ireland.

Please note this will be a night shift position, part time or full time hours will also be available.

As the Site Supervisor your new role will include but not be limited to the following:

• Carrying out construction monitoring quality inspections, including checks on materials being placed, tested and ensuring adherence on site to the works specification and drawings;
• Driving health and safety throughout the Project.
• Design review functions to the appropriate level of completion and quality.
• Keeping contemporary site records of works being undertaken, including photographic records, plant and labour, activities on site, monitoring progress against programme and reporting to the NEC Project Manager;
• Providing input to key project control documentation such as drawings, programme and valuations to include knowledge of price scheduling and reporting of variances and changes are dealt with in the Change Control procedures;
• Working with technical staff, and contractors to drive successful solutions on site during the works;
• Input with the project delivery team on aspects of design review to the appropriate level of completion and quality;
• Liaising with sub-contractors, third party organisations and stakeholders during the course of the works;
• Attendance at site meetings/progress meetings.

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Minimum of an HND / Degree in an Engineering related discipline, i.e. Civil Engineering.
• Experience of construction or engineering related activities with a Contractor, Consultant or Client organisation.
• Experience of working on similar Rail projects;
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• An understanding of different contract types (including NEC) would be desirable.
• Relevant up to date site training such as CSCS /CSR. PTS Training would be desirable.
