We have an exciting position as a Knowledge Manager in our Digital & Technology (D&T) team to Lead on knowledge management and learning that drives IT self-service across Wellcome.
The role is in the Technology, Customer Success Team and reports to the Senior Manager for Customer Success. The Knowledge Manager will oversee; a knowledge management system that drives IT self-service across Wellcome presenting appropriate and vital knowledge and information to staff that enables them to resolve technical problems without the IT Service Desk, to develop an understanding and collective knowledge sharing culture to drive the successful self-service and the adoption of technology solutions that enhance IT self-service, and to create tailored training modules on behalf of D&T
In this role you will
Oversee the strategy to increase IT self-service across Wellcome enabling staff to have access to the information they need to be able to conduct simple tasks themselves.
Define the method, standard and process for IT Knowledge Management, implement improvements identified following a review of the current situation
Maintain an awareness of current and emerging methods, processes, and technology for extracting insight from knowledge information that educates staff and increases the digital literacy across Wellcome.
They will ensure that information is current, relevant, and easy to find and follow, and that this simplifies the use of technology and access to data for all staff working at Wellcome.
Where tailored information is required, produce training modules for distribution.
Assess the current IT knowledge management systems and information, prepare background documents, cataloguing existing IT provision and describe the effectiveness of existing policies, strategies, processes, and standards.

To be successful in this role you will
Be familiar with systems for knowledge management and methods to encourage IT self-service.
Be familiar with applications and adoption techniques.
Be experienced in providing training and creating quality training collateral.
Have experience of ServiceNow and Workday for knowledge management would be beneficial.

Desirable
Experience of a managed desktop environment including the use of administrative and diagnostic tools to ensure the maintenance and integrity of the desktop environment.
Knowledge of O365, Workday, Salesforce, SAP
Experience working in a multi-disciplined Agile and DevOps environment.
Familiar with control tools such as SharePoint, Confluence and Liquid Planner.
Familiar with intent-based leadership.
Familiar with lean process improvement.

Salary: £52,000, plus Benefits
