WellCann focus is on innovative cannabis infused edibles facility with a core focus on processing bulk dried cannabis into pre-rolled joints; and packaging and labelling cannabis

Responsibilities:

Receiving cannabis, non-medicinal ingredients, labels and primary containers; daily scale calibration; preventative maintenance program; environmental monitoring program; facility and equipment sanitation; sampling; managing documentation; training program; recall coordination; and development and revisions of SOP’s.

Reporting to the Head of Compliance

Experience:

• HACCP / PCP and or pharmaceutical GMP knowledge
• Create, review and maintain Standard Operational Procedures in the food or pharmaceutical industry
• Experience maintaining the quality of regulated product during storage including environmental conditions, adequate segregation and FIFO
• Maintaing and corrdinating technical agreements with suppliers
• Facility sanitation and equipment cleaning programs
• Personnel health & hygiene and personal protective equipment
• Training programs
• Investigate non-conformances/deviations and customer complaints as it relates to quality
• Corrective and preventative actions
• Product testing
• Recall coordination
• A 3-year science degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, preferably in one of the following disciplines:
• Chemistry
• Biology
• Life Sciences
• Pharmaceutical Sciences

• A minimum two years of experience in quality operations, preferably in an industry regulated by the Canadian Food and Drugs Act.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $60,000.00-$72,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• Night shift
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Concord, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• quality assurance: 2 years (preferred)
