Day Shift Mon-Thurs 5:30am-4:00pm

Night Shift Mon-Thurs 4:00pm-2:30am

Weekend Shift Fri-Sun 5:30am-5:30pm

Weldco-Beales Manufacturing designs and manufactures specialized heavy equipment attachments for the construction, forestry, mining, scrap recycling, road maintenance and resource industries throughout Canada, the USA and internationally. This position will report to the Machine Shop Foreman.

What you will do:
Studies specifications, charts, drawings or sample parts to determine the machining operation to be performed

Reads and interprets blueprints, follows directions given, drawings and work orders

Calculates dimensions and tolerances, and prepare working sketches if necessary

Operates and uses various machine shop equipment and tools safely at all times, which includes some or all of the following: lathes, mills, boring mills, drills, saws and machining centers

Check parts for defects, maintains and repairs equipment as required

Safety conscious with full participation in the safety program and all safety requirements

Your qualifications:
5+ years related experience in the machining industry, working with manual boring mills and lathes is required

Red Seal Machinist Certification would be an asset

Be proficient in the use of all tools common to the fabrication shop environment

What you bring to the position:
Strong skills and ability to demonstrate use of Mastercam (or other similar program) is an asset

In-depth knowledge of all tools and equipment, their use and care

Advanced knowledge of general safety practices

Communication skills to read, write, listen, and speak in a clear & concise manner to individuals at various levels

Interpersonal skills work collaboratively and cooperatively with others

The ability to use your hands skillfully and quickly, measure sizes and distances accurately

The ability to work independently at tasks that require concentration as well as physical effort

Basic computer knowledge

Time management skills to productively complete work in a logical manner and to meet all deadlines

Organizational skills to plan out and coordinate his or her work in a logical manner

Physically fit to lift items weighing up to 35 kg.
