POSITION TITLE:

Director of IT

GROUP OR CORPORATE STAFF:

Corporate Staff

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:

• Reports to VP-IT

SUMMARY

The Director of IT is a key player in a 4-5 person Information Technology group responsible for supporting approximately 300 across 4 companies in multiple locations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the IT service desk function.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement IT solutions from enterprise IT vendors.
• Manage hardware lifecycle and inventory.
• Works with leadership to set IT priorities and manage workload.
• Manage Microsoft 365 environment and related cloud-based services.
• Manage on-premise computing and networking for multiple locations.
• Produce documentation and training material, conduct occasional training.
• Manage 1 direct report.

—Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field, or equivalent experience

–Knowledge and Experience – Required

• Microsoft 365 and Azure AD
• Enterprise networking concepts and technologies: WAN/LAN, VPN, Layer 3 switching/routing
• Intel / Microsoft server infrastructure
• Storage
• Vendor management
• IT service management

–Knowledge and Experience – Desirable

• Structured (low voltage) wiring design
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Cloud telephony (Ringcentral)
• Microsoft SCCM for OS Deployment and patching
• Enterprise ERP: CMiC, Yardi Voyager
• Software development

–Working Conditions:

• Travel required up to 5%
• Majority of job performed in an office environment, frequent use of personal computer and other office equipment. Occasional work on construction sites that requires protective equipment that conforms to OSHA regulations.
