Weir Minerals is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsperson to join our team in Perth .

As a Draftsperson, you will play a crucial role in providing the local drafting capability and support needed for Reverse Engineering, Trials, Fault Rectification and Scale Mill Implementation at Alcoa

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of drafting techniques, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

• Scan existing Installations
• Compiling and assembling 3D scanned models
• Produce accurate drawings for fabrication & assembly.
• Develop sectional drawings from scanned parts for reverse engineering
• Interface between WMA & Review 3rd party drawings.
• Travel to the site and perform measurements and assessments

Job Knowledge:

• Diploma of Engineering – Technical (Drafting) or Cert 4 Technical Drafting or equivalent
• A good knowledge of steel fabrication and welding, rubber lining, and related manufacturing processes (Advantageous)
• Experience in using CAD packages for drafting, with a preference for Autodesk Inventor
• A good knowledge of Australian and ISO drafting standards
