Role Duties:

Transactional

• Carry out sales invoicing and cash collection / allocation activities
• Match supplier invoices to purchase orders and ensure they are appropriately authorised, and booked into accounting system
• Preparation and posting of journals, including accruals, prepayments, provisions and any others that help to provide timely and accurate month end accounts
• Update excel-based balance sheet reconciliations / support packs

Business partnering / FP&A

• Provide ad-hoc financial information to management teams
• Create good working relationships with key team members (finance and business)
• Contribute to the success of the overall corporate strategy
• Support and contribute the budgeting and forecasting processes
• Initially support then take over Management Accounts monthly reporting
• Support CFO and Senior Leadership Team with sourcing, creation and ongoing ownership of Operational KPI dashboard

Strategic

• Suggest and implement improvements to existing processes / systems as required
• Support CFO on preparations for future investment readiness
• Undertake adhoc and other finance duties as required

Qualification:

• CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified potential for QBE if exceptional candidate

Skills:

• Strong financial and business acumen
• System orientated with excellent IT skills (Weduc is a Sage Accounting environment, but much of the analysis is done through exports of data into excel and the individual must have a excellent excel skills)
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
• Previous experience with transactional accounting is essential
• Commercial acumen and financial analysis skills

Our remote working model allows for a flexible and safe working experience from anywhere within the UK although some time in head office will be expected. There is also the option to work from our Loughborough office, in Leicestershire, if desired.
