Weaver’s Nature Based Childcare Center & Preschool Hiring for Lead Teacher Full Time

The Lead Teacher oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the classroom program and child assessment. The Lead Teacher also oversees caregiving staff for a specific group of children and overall care and supervision of children.

Position(s) are 6 to 8 hours per day, year-round.

Care involves interaction and instruction for preschool aged children.

Position(s) may change as the program’s enrollment changes.

You must love the outdoors! Enjoy messy play, risky play and children who guide you into a play world of their own! You must have a drive to work hard knowing you will leave with a tired body, dirty hands and a happy heart.

You must be dependable. Our children need attentive, positive, outgoing teachers who are driven to show up each day to give their all.

The preschool role is the heart of our gardening and animal enrichment program. You will live in nature both inside and outdoors.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.50 – $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Sheridan, MI 48884: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Special education: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Teaching Certification (Preferred)
• Special Education Certification (Preferred)
