The Production Scheduler is directly responsible for creating and managing the finished good production schedule for Weaver Popcorn Manufacturing, as well as managing daily material needs.

Responsibilities:

• Create daily/weekly/monthly production schedules for a variety of products
• Monitor and adjust production schedules to meet customer demand
• Ensure operations are running at maximum efficiency by coordinating with other departments including sales, purchasing, and distribution to ensure timely delivery to customers
• Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments
• Monitor inventory levels and ordering of raw materials
• Track and on production KPIs
• Monitor production for compliance with safety and quality standards
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers to obtain necessary materials
• Resolve any production problems and take corrective action
• Monitor and analyze production schedules to identify bottlenecks and potential issues
• Provide timely and accurate updates to stakeholders
• Ensure all personnel are properly trained in production processes
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
• Proven experience as a Production Scheduler or in a related role
• Ability to plan and coordinate production schedules to meet quality and quantity targets
• Working knowledge of production planning software and MS Office applications
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Knowledge of production processeAbility to identify and resolve scheduling issues

Preferred

• AS400 (or other ERP systems)
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications and software
• Extremely proficient with production planning systems, such as MRP II.
