About us

WealthPlan is an enterprise consisting of two Registered Investment Advisory firms located in Omaha, Nebraska. *This position is in office, in Omaha.

Portfolio Analysts develop expertise in identifying risk mitigation strategies and are responsible for creating multi-strategy portfolios. On a day-to-day basis, analysts contribute to managing the research process in order to enhance our current offerings. Portfolio Analysts also become experts in measuring risk, various portfolio theories, and a number of optimization models.

Portfolio Analysts should be experts in portfolio theory as well as a wide range of portfolio construction techniques. This includes knowledge in behavioral finance as well as statistics, financial analysis, compliance, and the spectrum of financial products. This knowledge is expected to lead to highest-quality intellectual content in the form of research briefs, blogs, white papers, and other mediums. Above all, portfolio analysts should feel ownership in the performance investment products and may become eligible to have a portion of compensation tied to the success of products.

Portfolio Analysts with tenure may become eligible to be on the Investment Committee.

• Ability to help determine and maintain the on-time pace of department priorities.
• Above average communication, writing, and presentation abilities
• Expert knowledge of capital markets, investment structures, and portfolio construction
• Ability to work in tandem with other Portfolio Analysts, Research Analysts, Interns, as well as work directly with CIO to meet Investment Committee requirements, implement company initiatives, and report regular progress, impediments, workload, and accomplishments
• Be able to incorporate macro views, statistical data, behavior, risk analytics, and WealthPlan philosophy into the portfolio process
• Responsible for helping shape investment policy as well as identify critical risks within WealthPlan products
• Expected to have high level of knowledge regarding compliance, investment product structure, and market functions

Skill Requirements

• Optimal research and analysis skills
• Strong skills in writing for reports and other communication, and in oral presentation for explaining and recommending ideas, and for management and client presentations.
• Expert knowledge of capital markets and familiarity with all classes of investment products.
• Skill in prioritizing and organizing workflow as the analyst must stay current on multiple projects and industries while new issues, moving markets and breaking news all demand quick turnaround.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $51.00 per hour
