WEA Hiring for Project Education Coordinator Job at Remote Full Time

You will be solely employed on the Routes Project, a Building Better Opportunities programme, jointly programme by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund` and will support the WEA vision through adult education, challenging and inspiring individuals, communities and society.

The Project Education Coordinator will be the face of the Routes Project, liaising and working with partners to create and manage participants` routes through the project. You will ensure all participants are given individually tailored journeys and are regularly supported to ensure their targets are on course, realistic and manageable.

By creating good working relationships and communication between partners, the post holder will enable the best and most appropriate service for our participants. This will, in turn, maintain a high profile with stakeholders and keep a high level of referrals.

Your delivery of advice and information in support of participants will enable them to progress into education or towards employment. It will be of the highest standard and consistency, as will your attention to compliance and paperwork completion. Where needed, you will support participants to enable them to access training online or in person.

The role will be located across Bognor, Littlehampton and Chichester and will require travel throughout this region.

You will be expected to represent the WEA and promote both the Association, the project and the value of adult education in their area and the UK.

Service Delivery:

• To be responsible for the safe, efficient and effective delivery of the Routes project at the WEA
• To recruit, and conduct in depth clients` needs assessments including those experiencing complex barriers to work.
• To counsel participants to develop work habits/skills in preparation for and during work placements and education
• To keep track, oversee and document clients` progress.
• To undertake project development, in conjunction with the Project Manager
• To represent and promote the Routes project as appropriate, at relevant forums, events and other platforms.
• To liaise alongside with and develop links to external agencies, including; local employers, Jobcentre Plus, Housing Benefit, Benefits Agency, local councils and other relevant statutory and voluntary organisations to support the effective recruitment to and running of the Routes project.

Administration:

• To ensure appropriate manual and computerised administrative systems are maintained to meet reporting and monitoring requirements of the project, the wider organisation and the Routes partnership.
• To administer the training needs of participants.
• To co-produce a quarterly and annual report of the Routes project
• To maintain a strong social media presence for the programme including contributing to a programme website and Facebook
• Have excellent digital skills

General:

• To promote excellence in all aspects of programme design and delivery, enabling and empowering participants to strive for and believe that personal excellence is a realistic and attainable achievement.
• To publicise and promote Routes opportunities internally and with external organisations, attending team, local and regional meetings as appropriate.
• To develop a close network of communications, co-operation, joint projects and skills exchange with other agencies in the community.
• To undertake such other duties appropriate to the grade and character of the work as may reasonably be required.
