WEA Hiring for Education Coordinator Job at Penzance, England Full Time

We are looking for an Education Coordinator to be responsible for the coordination, management, and development of WEA’s education provision across Cornwall, the post holder is expected to live in Cornwall, with regular travel across the county.

At the heart of our area team, you will support and manage tutors, engage volunteers, develop strategic partnerships to deliver our AEB contract, and identify further business development opportunities.

You will work with the Area Manager to develop and manage programme across Cornwall.

You will design and develop processes that ensure provision is aligned to funding outcomes and an evidence based framework. In doing so you will maximise the impact of the adult education in your area and promote the WEA as the educator of choice.

You will be a qualified teacher with extensive experience of working with a range of stakeholders, developing relationships and achieving mutually beneficial outcomes. You will be a team player with a can do attitude as well as hold the capacity to work autonomously and the ability to hit and succeed targets.

You will have considerable experience of managing and developing tutors to achieve quality outcomes for students and the ability to support, mentor and coach employees to reach their full growth potential.

You will be keen to engage with disadvantaged people and rekindle their love of learning.

Due to the nature of the role, driving and access to a vehicle is advantageous.

You will be comfortable using IT systems including Microsoft 365 packages, ideally, you will have experience of creating online programmes as you will be required to use Canvas for creation and running of courses.
