Working to an agreed work plan and as part of an area team, the post holder will support and manage tutors, work with volunteers, branches and members to deliver tutor led education provision across the eastern region

The post holder will have responsibility for approximately 60 branches and for identifying potential business development opportunities in line with regional objectives. They may have responsibility for identified specialist aspects of regional education provision, communications, quality and teaching.
They will be expected to represent the WEA and promote both the Association and the value of adult education in their area
Developing, delivering and maintaining this key educational programme, you will ensure that our students and members enjoy an outstanding experience. At the heart of our closely-knit area team, you will support and manage tutors, engage volunteers and local branches, and identify business development opportunities. You could also find yourself involved in specialist aspects of regional educational provision, communications, quality and teaching, whilst actively promoting our crucial work – so every day will bring different challenges. This role will have a primary focus of organising our volunteer run Branch Provision across the region.
About you:
You will need a degree level education plus a level 4 teaching qualification, alongside extensive experience of developing tutors, and working within the voluntary sector.
Equally importantly, you should be exceptionally organised and methodical, with great leadership and coaching skills and you will be ready to make your mark from day one.
You will have strong IT and digital skills to support our tutors to deliver online courses and to use our virtual learning environment (Canvas).
The WEA Eastern Region Branches are across Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
There will be extensive travel in this role on a regular basis. You will be required to liaise with branches and other organisations across the Eastern region, to understand local needs, organise, promote and recruit for courses to meet those needs.
You will have excellent communication and team working skills to jointly co-ordinate and promote online provision.
