Waves Coffee House is looking for passionate, energetic and responsible long term baristas to join our team on Highgate Burnaby (Kingsway and Edmonds)

Responsibilities:

• General Customer Service – Make hot or cold beverages; Serve drinks and cookies/sandwiches to customers
• Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them.
• Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment.
• Clean service or seating areas.
• Weigh, grind, or pack coffee beans for customers.
• Opening and Closing
• Checkfreezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment’s temperatures to ensure proper function.

Requirements:

• Steadily able to work at least 3 shifts in a week
• Preferable with previously experience in coffee shops or restaurants, but not a must.(Training will be provided)
• FoodSafe level 1 is an asset but not required
• Team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Standing/ Walking at least 7 hours
