Job Description

We are currently seeking a full-time Production Worker to work as part of our groundwater filter manufacturing team in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

As a production worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of all filters & groundwater monitoring products at several different production stations.

Because our filters are used for testing in groundwater for metal analysis, we work in a cleanroom environment, wearing full Tyvek suits, hairnets and gloves daily. Hours will be 8 am – 4 pm for initial training. Starting Jan 2022 the work hours temporarily change to Evening Shift 4 pm – 12 am to help increase production hours.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment is running properly and safely
• Work safely and maintain a safe & clean work environment
• Careful and accurate loading/unloading of goods into the cleanroom
• Inspect and verify that every piece of material is being produced to quality standards
• Maintain proper quality control and production documentation and reports
• Complete minor repairs to ensure equipment runs properly
• Keep all equipment in good repair and avoid extended downtimes by providing day-to-day maintenance
• Complete daily quality control testing
• Ability to read and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals
• Work with the management team to respond to defects and test failures by recommending corrective action and ensuring the execution of the corrective action

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs
• Work on your feet all-day
• Mechanically inclined
• Experience using tools and maintaining machines.
• Excel as a part of a team as well as independently
• Working computer skills particularly Microsoft Office
• Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Mechanically inclined experience working with power tools and hand tools

Additional Preferred skills

• Experience in shipping receiving
• Familiarity with tools, pneumatic system & electrical sensors
• Understand and operate electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Production experience
• Plastic Moulding experience
• Familiar with environmental science or hydrogeology
