Experience required for successful application 

• UK experience of working on public, private or third sector drainage design projects. 

• Experience of the current standards (DMRB) and Construction Design Management Regulations (CDM). 

• Ability to design all aspects of drainage from concept to detailed design. 

• Experience of design interfaces (e.g. highways, rail, geotechnical, environmental, structural etc.) 

• Ability to prepare reports and specifications and to collect and assimilate other data and statistics necessary for the preparation of progress and technical reports. 

• Awareness of the regulatory framework associated with planning and approval regulations/processes, together with experience of managing a transportation drainage project through the planning process. 

• Working knowledge of hydraulic modelling software such as Micro Drainage desirable 

• Working knowledge AutoCAD / Civil3D or similar desirable 

• Familiarity with 3D design tools and BIM desirable 

• Ability to work unsupervised within your area of specialism (at the appropriate level) 

• A relevant qualification in HNC/ HND (or equivalent) in an Engineering/Technical discipline or equivalent experience in the UK 

• Achieved or working towards professional membership/accreditation with an industry recognised Professional Body  

• Full UK driving licence. 

• Willingness to travel within the region if required 

• The legal right to work in the UK
