Watercrest Senior Living Hiring for Talent Acquisition Specialist – Remote Full Time

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist maintains various number of open requisitions for the communities based on their hiring needs. Largely managing and selecting the most qualified candidates for an open position to attract the best associates, including specific skills, educational requirements and relevant work experience. Responsible for initial phone interviews, scheduling in-person interviews and managing the hiring and onboarding process for those applicable communities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Develop recruitment goals and objectives
• Design and implement overall recruiting strategy
• Consult with community directors to discover staff requirements and specific job objectives
• Post job descriptions on career websites, universities boards and other multi-channel sources to recruit
• Develop relationships with schools to obtain a pipeline of applicants
• Source candidates by using databases and social media
• Evaluate applicants, screen resumes and cover letters
• Search resume databases for the best fit candidates
• Developing a network of referred candidates and past applicants for future hires
• Utilize the IMPACT assessment to assess candidates’ skills
• Conduct the initial phone interviews
• Provide a list of qualified candidates to hiring managers with all information needed to conduct the second in-person interview at the communities
• Contact new employees and prepare onboarding sessions
• Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires
• Stay up-to-date with current recruiting methods
• Attend job fairs and careers events
• Preparing, reviewing and monitoring annual budget for recruitment
• Coordinates and participates pre-hire and new hire for those applicable communities

• Prepare a on a weekly basis for those in the hiring process and onboarding stage to Regional Team Members
• Performs other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of computers and relevant software to include Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Ability to make independent decisions
• Ability to review large volumes of resumes
• Must be able to communicate effectively in a warm, friendly and caring manner
• Must be familiar with and adhere to guidelines related to the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and the American with Disabilities Act (ADA)

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent training and education.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Two (2) years’ experience in the senior living environment
• Two (2) years’ experience in a recruiting or HR role

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to sit up to 75% of the day
• Able to concentrate with frequent interruptions
• Able to work under stress and in emergency situations
• Able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, reaching, pulling, pushing and grasping
• Able to talk and hear effectively in order to convey messages, instructions and information to residents and team members
• Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 pounds

OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE / PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

• Work in all areas of the community
• Subject to reactions from dust, disinfectants and cleaning chemicals and may be exposed to infectious waste, diseases and other conditions
• Use of personal protective equipment and supplies when needed to prevent burns, falls, and infection
• Personal protective equipment includes infection control kit, rubber gloves, and non-slip shoes
