About the role:

The successful candidate will partner with the Manager – Group Finance and the Financial Services Lead Team to provide financial management advice and recommendations on business strategies and direction for assigned Groups. You will act as an initial point of contact and develop an ongoing relationship to collaborate with the assigned Groups. You will provide financial and commercial expertise to enhance achievement of their business plan and corporate objectives with the financial resources they have allocated.

What the role will involve:

• Manage and maintain customer/stakeholder engagement with respective Group’s lead team to establish confidence and trust between parties.
• Assist with development, completion and despatch of regular insightful, and comprehensive Business Performance Reports, statements, and presentations.
• Assist with the budgeting, forecasting, business reporting, costing and general accounting activities of the assigned Groups.
• Ensure assigned Group’s adhere and comply with all compliance and governance obligations.
• Ensure Consistency within the Group with overall strategic financial objectives of the Groups.

Key skills and experience:

• Ideally you will you have a degree level qualification in commerce or finance
• Substantial experience and a demonstrated track record in providing financial, management accounting, commercial, budgeting and budget management related services within a large multi-functional organisation.
• Substantial experience working with accounting and financial management standards.
• Substantial experience presenting financial and performance data in a manner which provides useful insights into business performance.
• Considerable experience in process and systems improvement.
